Crop guide · Chilli pepper preprocessing
Start with the retained product
Specify the chilli variety, size, curved shape, retained seeds and intended use. A slender hot chilli is not a bell pepper with a different label. The PDS4L bell-pepper corer is outside this route. General belt-cutting evidence supports a trial discussion, not an exact chilli feeding or de-seeding claim.
Compare washing, trimming or peeling, cutting, sorting, dewatering and packaging below. Attributed manufacturer images explain equipment roles. General family references require the actual crop configuration and a representative trial.
Choose the finished-product route
Whole fresh chillies
Inspect → configured wash → surface-water removal → size/quality selection → pack.
Define retained stem and avoid unnecessary cutting.
Stem-trimmed rings or pieces
Pre-clean → remove specified stem end → align/feed → cross-cut → inspect → drain/dewater → dose.
Specify whether seeds are retained and what counts as an acceptable ring.
Inputs for paste or dried products
Inspect/wash → trim → specified size reduction → dedicated grinding or drying process.
A vegetable cutter does not supply paste texture or drying performance.
Agree pre-cleaning, trimming, cutting and final-wash order for the incoming material and intended use. These routes are specification aids, not universal process settings.
Washing: retain the smallest pods

KRONEN HEWA 3800
General washing-family reference, not a confirmed chilli pepper installation. Confirm retention, water movement, loading, outfeed and the selected whole or cut-product route.
Check screens, outlet gaps and waste paths with thin curved chillies. Define washing before and after opening the pod. Test water movement and collection with actual fruit; a general washer photo does not establish capsaicin removal or a cleaning result.
Include water filling and management, draining, rinse arrangements and cleaning access in the quotation. No chemical dose, microbial reduction or ready-to-eat result is established by a machine image or application list.
Trimming: set the stem cut and seed requirement

KRONEN
Supported manual preparation with separate waste collection. Define acceptable chilli pepper ends, skin, leaves or caps and useful trim loss before selecting automation.
Use a manual station to define a clean stem-end cut without excessive flesh loss. De-seeding is an additional duty if required. Do not apply the pictured bell-pepper corer from another guide to long chillies.
Cutting: control curved-pod orientation

KRONEN GS 10-2
General GS 10-2 cutting reference. Confirm actual chilli pepper support, input fit and tooling. Compare the pictured model and tooling with the actual arrangement in the film.
General GS 10-2 footage shows the cutting family, not a validated chilli run. Test belt support, minimum pod size and whether curves rotate at the blade. Inspect incomplete rings, crushed walls, loose seeds and the accepted short-end fraction.
Sorting: inspect pods before cutting and fragments after

Herbort Inspection Belt 85
Manual inspection reference. Compare product presentation, visibility and separate rejects. It does not establish optical grading, internal-defect detection or automatic colour mixing.
Agree visible damage, unwanted stems and size bands at intake. After cutting, separate stem pieces, fines and oversize. A manual belt does not verify pungency, variety or the removal of every foreign object.
Dewatering: match water removal to retained seeds

KRONEN KS-100 PLUS
General removable-basket reference for a supplier-confirmed cut-product route. Test actual chilli pepper retention, damage and free water; whole products may need supported drainage instead.
Whole chillies may use supported drainage; cut pieces require a trial of the selected method. Check seed losses through screens and water inside cavities. Avoid treating dewatering as thermal drying for a dried-chilli product.
Agree the free-water and damage assessment after a realistic hold, then check the next transfer and doser. Surface-water removal differs from thermal drying, cooking and sterilisation.
Packaging: trial bridging and changeover

KRONEN FLEX L
Packaging-family reference. Confirm the actual chilli pepper feeder, doser, pack length and seals. It does not establish a punnet filler, shrink-wrapper, bunch packer or every MAP option.
Long pods and rings need different feeding and dosing arrangements. Agree handling of loose seeds and product in seals. Define cleaning and product changeover with the supplier; the general bagger is not a demonstrated chilli-paste filler.
If MAP is proposed, obtain the exact gas-handling hardware, film, seals and distribution brief. A general bagger does not establish a gas recipe, shelf life or every optional configuration.
Compare prepared-input presentation on the belt cutter
This is a clearly labelled cutting-family reference. The observed scenes explain supported input presentation across prepared vegetables; they are not an identified chilli or eggplant acceptance run. Use the crop-specific cut brief above to request the correct product, knife and feed demonstration.
Watch on YouTube ↗ · 2:54KRONEN Food processing · Official manufacturer footage
- Around 0:34: An operator places prepared dark-red roots onto the narrow feed belt.
- Around 2:02: Pale prepared vegetable pieces are presented on the same feed path.
Current manufacturer links and source identity were checked. Confirm the offered version and configuration separately from historical demonstration footage. Original English watch notes provide a text alternative; no full transcript is reproduced. Playback is on YouTube. No crop capacity, yield, cleaning, damage or shelf-life guarantee is inferred from the film.
Prepare a chilli pepper equipment trial brief
- Bring representative input: variety, maturity, size, incoming condition and seasonal variation.
- Show accepted and rejected samples: retained skin, leaf, stem, head or cut form, useful rework and finished pack.
- Record useful output: trim/peel loss, damage, fines, missed defects, free water and rejected packs.
- Test interfaces: product supports, drops, screens, drainage, dose control, stops and restart.
- Confirm supplied configuration: safe access, guards, tooling, water circuits, utilities, cleaning and training.
Questions before choosing chilli pepper equipment
Can a bell-pepper coring film validate a chilli line?
No. Long thin chillies need their own stem, seed, support and cutting brief. Bell-pepper equipment is not represented as a suitable chilli corer here.
