Questions to settle before a quotation

  • What incoming seafood formulation and temperature range will the forming trial represent?
  • What portion weight, shape, structure and release criteria apply?
  • Which preparation, coating, cooking, cooling and packing duties are excluded?

Ask bidders to state trial material, accepted output, losses, utilities, changeover time and scope exclusions in writing. Compare the offered configuration using the same recipe and acceptance criteria.

Common questions

What does this equipment leave outside its scope?

Forming prepared seafood does not constitute a complete surimi-manufacturing line. Different recipes and forms require suitable tooling and a defined finishing route.

Can catalogue rates be compared directly?

First align the feed material, units, acceptance criteria and delivery boundaries. Fish/minute, fillets/minute, kilograms/hour and forming strokes measure different things.
