Food coating-line handover

Assign ingredient handling, returns, cleaning and cooking interfaces in the equipment offer.

Assign the complete coating-line boundary

  • Agree feed spacing, product orientation, belt height and transfer damage criteria.
  • Identify flour/crumb feeding, batter preparation, recirculation and return handling in the supply scope.
  • Specify ingredient identity, segregation and changeover responsibilities.
  • Assign extraction, cleaning access, drains, utilities and control interfaces.
  • Define the outgoing coating/finish condition and downstream cooking or cooling handover.

Compare included equipment and project evidence

Dust extraction, special conveyors, pressure rolls, curtain conversions and integrated searer/branders may be options or different executions. Keep their scope explicit in the offer. Ingredient returns and cleaning require the actual project programme; this procurement guide does not approve re-use, sanitation or allergen changeover.

Questions to settle before a quotation

  • Which feeding, extraction, returns and cleaning modules are included?
  • What utilities and product spacing support the offered duty?
  • Who accepts the line interfaces and installed handover?

Ask bidders to state trial material, accepted output, losses, utilities, changeover time and scope exclusions in writing. Compare the offered configuration using the same recipe and acceptance criteria.
