Material transfer interfaces

Define inlet, discharge, control and cleaning responsibilities.

Put interfaces in the offer

  • Inlet and discharge dimensions, supports and access envelope.
  • Upstream feed and receiving-machine capacity on the same output basis.
  • Control handshakes, level signals and responsibility for interruptions.
  • Contact parts, access, cleaning method and product-change responsibilities.
  • Installation, commissioning, training and spare-part handover.

Questions to settle before a quotation

  • Who supplies the pickup, hopper, transfer line and receiver where required?
  • How are overfill, blocked discharge and downstream pauses represented in the demonstration?
  • What inspection access and residual-product records support the agreed changeover?

Ask bidders to state trial material, accepted output, losses, utilities, changeover time and scope exclusions in writing. Compare the offered configuration using the same recipe and acceptance criteria.

Weighing & inspection

Conveying does not replace dose or pack-weight verification.

Filling & packaging

Agree machine feeding and finished-product handling.

Common questions

Does a stainless or sanitary label validate cleaning?

Request the actual offered materials and product-specific cleaning evidence. A material description alone is not changeover acceptance.
