Conveyor acceptance planning

Compare delivered product, damage, residual material and interruptions.

Define the material and route

  • Identify food form, bulk density, moisture and representative sample variation.
  • Set inlet supply conditions, route length, elevation and the receiving duty.
  • Record utility and control assumptions with the offered equipment.

Use a comparable output basis

Request the delivered product mass over an agreed period. State whether the period includes filling, discharge, interruptions or cleaning. Keep belt speed, volumetric rate and accepted mass flow separate.

Questions to settle before a quotation

  • How will product damage, loss and material left in the system be measured?
  • What sample and measurement records will the buyer receive?
  • How will restart, product change and interrupted feed be demonstrated?

Ask bidders to state trial material, accepted output, losses, utilities, changeover time and scope exclusions in writing. Compare the offered configuration using the same recipe and acceptance criteria.
