Fresh-cut preparation

Define the operation and handoff before choosing individual machines.

What this process page covers

Use this page to connect incoming produce preparation, washing, cutting and surface-water handling with the separately selected packing and cold-chain route. Choose the finished-food branch on the fruit and vegetable application page first; here, define operation order, equipment handoffs and supply boundaries. This is editorial planning guidance, not an operating recipe.

Connect each stage to equipment

This is an example route. Recipes, starting materials and preservation plans can change the order or remove stages.

  1. Inspect & trim

Specify incoming inspection, grading and trimming separately;sorting equipment does not imply trimming.

Produce sorting and gradingProduce optical inspection
  2. Peel or core if needed

Define the actual produce and preparation task; peeling does not imply a coring tool.

    Produce peelers
  3. Wash & cut

Specify washing and cutting separately; the order depends on the product and agreed line.

  4. Remove surface water

Define acceptable surface moisture and damage; dewatering is not a validated preservation treatment.

  5. Weigh & pack

Specify portion weighing, packaging and receiving cold-chain conditions separately.

Specify the handoff

Incoming product
Describe ingredient condition, temperature range to be agreed, size distribution and upstream handling.
Required output
Define the product format, acceptable variation and the inspection method you will use.
Line interface
Confirm feed method, transfer height, buffer needs and how each machine stops when a downstream unit stops.
Cleaning boundary
Document disassembly, tools, product-contact access and the responsibility for validating changeovers.

Prepare a useful supplier brief

  • What produce varieties, maturity and incoming size ranges must be tested?
  • What cut shape and size distribution is acceptable?
  • Where are washing, drainage and water-management responsibilities defined?
  • What does the downstream packer need for product feed and surface moisture?

Agree on your own samples, acceptance criteria and the boundaries of supply before requesting price. Measure accepted output, rejects, stops and changeover time separately.

Sources & editorial boundaries

Official pages checked on 3 October 2026. Source checks establish published identity and scope, not certification, stock, food-safety performance or suitability for your recipe. Trial questions and process maps are editorial guidance, not validated operating instructions.

China supplier routes: produce preparation

Source-backed washing, brush peeling and fruit weight-grading references. Equipment-family and line records are not invented model numbers. Manual inspection and measured-weight grading remain distinct; no optical inspection capability is asserted.

China supplier routes: fruit optical inspection

Reemoon publishes fruit vision and near-infrared inspection systems. Keep external defects, internal-quality indicators and weight grading separate; FRUSCAN H10/S10 designation differences remain explicit and neither reference establishes a complete configured sorter model.

Connect the fruit and vegetable procurement route

Washing, destoning, brush treatment and peeling are different duties;peeling specifications do not prove no-peel washing. Select the actual crop and fresh-cut,cooked or frozen objective, with separate trials, interfaces and supply exclusions. These records do not establish a compatible complete line or validated preservation process.

Choose the produce branch and prepare a trial, quotation and service draft. Record crop acceptance,water/waste handling,FAT/SAT,documentation,parts and destination responsibilities. No enquiry is sent.
