Food thermoforming packaging acceptance

Define representative food-and-film trials, seal checks and accepted pack-output evidence.

Bring the actual food and film

Record portion dimensions and condition, film structures and widths, pocket layout, forming depth and seal surfaces. Use representative samples for the intended packaging mode. Agree the offered tooling and configuration in writing before comparing catalogue cycle rates.

Vacuum, gas and seal observations

Define the required pack condition and the methods for checking evacuation or residual gas where applicable, seal integrity and leaks. Record sample selection and rejected packs. Assign responsibilities for gas supply, measurement and calibration; equipment-page wording is not a validated shelf-life study.

Output and changeover evidence

Measure accepted packs over an agreed representative run, including actual loading, rejects, stop/start events, film changes and cleaning. Separate cycles per minute from pockets per cycle and accepted packs per hour. Review changeover tools, waste-film handling, maintenance access and utilities on the offered layout.

Food and downstream responsibilities

Agree how packaging connects to cooling, storage and distribution. For any subsequent thermal process, confirm the package and load under that separate process. Keep pack trials, supplier claims and food-safety validation as distinct evidence.
