Function and limits
A pasta filata setting vat is not a generic promise to make every cheese. The documented GEA family provides a starting point for that route; downstream drainage and stretching need separate scope. Milk volume per cycle is not cheese mass per hour.
Prepare the supplier brief
- What cheese type and incoming milk specification will be trialled?
- How will cutting, stirring, jacket duty and discharge be evaluated?
- Where do whey collection, drainage and downstream processing begin?
- Does the quote distinguish the vat, the CIP plant and the complete line?
Agree on samples, accepted output, rejected output, downtime and changeovers separately. Ask the supplier to put inclusions, exclusions, utility demand, installation and service arrangements in writing.

Configurable cheese-vat family · GEA
A vat is not a complete cheese line. Do not transfer these specifications to GEA cylindrical coagulators or assume drainage, stretching, brining and packaging are included.

Route questions
Can I compare headline capacities?
Only after matching the duty, product conditions, selected configuration and acceptance criteria. Batch volume and continuous flow are not the same measure.
Does source checked mean certified?
No. It records published identity and scope, not a factory audit or validation of your product.
