Prepare a trial and quotation brief
Define the material or package, the offered configuration, accepted output and acceptance criteria before comparing quotations.
Published specifications and configuration scope: Industrial code-reader family
The official ID2000 family page describes a compact industrial reader for embedded or nearby reading, including 1D and 2D symbols and direct-part marking. Select an exact catalogue variant and confirm lens, working distance, field of view, lighting, interface and trigger. This is a family record, not a quotation for one orderable model.
Keep decoding and content validation separate
The family overview and variant table publish different speed figures, so this directory does not assign one maximum speed to all ID2000 variants. Frame rate and codes per second are not food-line packs per minute. Test the real moving package, print contrast, glare and code position. Successful decoding does not prove that the encoded batch or date is correct, grade barcode quality or verify human-readable date text through OCR.
Agree the complete line responsibility
Applying a label, decoding a symbol and inspecting label presence are separate duties. None of these records establishes a complete traceability system, food safety, legal label compliance or accepted line throughput. Specify PLC interfaces, reject hardware, batch-data checks and retained records with the supplier or integrator.
