Ready-to-drink tea processing

Choose leaf extraction or purchased tea base before specifying the beverage line.

Choose the starting material

Extract from tea leaves

Use a leaf-specific extraction brief that names extract concentration, clarity and spent-leaf handling. Downstream formulation and packing require their own interfaces.

Blend a purchased tea base

Record concentrate strength, recipe additions and supplier specifications. Confirm whether a leaf extractor is needed at all before allocating capital to it.

Prepare the supplier brief

  • Are tea leaf variety, grade and input basis fixed for the trial?
  • How are colour, clarity and flavour acceptance documented?
  • Which blend variants require separate equipment or validation?
  • Who owns the extract-to-filler interface and finished-product study?

Ask each bidder to document samples, accepted output, losses, changeovers, utilities, installation and exclusions. Use the trial and quotation guide to keep offers comparable.

Before selecting equipment

Does a listed product mean a complete line?

No. Establish boundaries for preparation, equipment, controls, cleaning, filling and distribution in a written proposal.

Does source checking certify a supplier?

No. These records identify public manufacturer information. Certification, stock, pricing and project suitability require separate evidence.

Sources & record scope
