Define the condition at dryer discharge
- Specify the agreed product condition before cooling, conveying and packaging.
- Sample fines, breakage, residue and segregation across the transfer route.
- Identify environmental exposure and the time before packaging.
- Trial the actual container, filling method and changeover with representative dried material.
- Assign collection, transfer, packing and release responsibilities to named project parties.
Keep acceptance connected
Powder collection, piece handling and packing have different requirements. A dryer discharge result does not establish that the material remains within specification after transfer and packing. Agree measurement points across those interfaces.
Questions to settle before a quotation
- What product condition and receiving rate must the next machine accept?
- Which transfer and packing losses are measured separately from dryer losses?
- How are samples and records linked to the accepted trial material?
Ask bidders to state trial material, accepted output, losses, utilities, changeover time and scope exclusions in writing. Compare the offered configuration using the same recipe and acceptance criteria.
