Crop guide · Guava preprocessing
Start with the retained product
A guava line can end with whole fruit, prepared pieces or an ingredient stream. Compare those routes before combining machines. Manufacturer references below explain equipment duties; the actual fruit, tooling and accepted output remain part of the supply specification.
Compare washing, trimming or peeling, cutting, sorting, dewatering and packaging below. Attributed manufacturer images explain equipment roles. General family references require the actual crop configuration and a representative trial.
Choose the finished-product route
Whole fresh fruit
inspect, clean as specified, grade and pack.
Compare actual input and accepted output before choosing the line.
Prepared pieces
define retained skin and seed-bearing tissue before cutting and portioning.
Compare actual input and accepted output before choosing the line.
Puree or juice ingredient
wash, inspect, reduce, refine and transfer to the designed downstream process.
Compare actual input and accepted output before choosing the line.
Agree pre-cleaning, trimming, cutting and final-wash order for the incoming material and intended use. These routes are specification aids, not universal process settings.
Washing: match cleaning to the destination

Bertuzzi
A manufacturer guava-processing installation. Define incoming material, cleaning programme and waste streams separately from the equipment photograph.
Bertuzzi illustrates guava washing and manual inspection in its processing reference. Confirm incoming debris, fruit condition and supported discharge. That processing layout does not establish a universal fresh-market washing programme.
Trimming: separate peel, seed, core and stone decisions
State whether skin and seed-bearing tissue are retained in the finished product. A guava puree line should not be mistaken for an automatic fresh-fruit peeler. Define manual preparation and unwanted tissue with accepted samples.
Cutting: choose pieces, reduction or extraction

Bertuzzi Chopper
An internal equipment view that explains reduction rather than fresh-piece cutting. Seed handling and the required texture need downstream refining specifications.

Bertuzzi SuperCreamer
A refining-family reference on the guava processing page. Match the screen, retained solids and texture to the actual ingredient; no seed-free or yield guarantee is inferred.
Fresh pieces and pulp reduction use different machines. Bertuzzi illustrates a Chopper and refining equipment for guava processing. Specify texture and retained solids; reduction is not a guarantee of seed-free finished puree.
Sorting: inspect the retained product

Bertuzzi Selinox
Manual roller-conveyor inspection. It does not demonstrate automatic internal grading, seed removal or validated detection of every defect.
Whole-fruit inspection addresses visible condition and agreed classes. After preparation or reduction, define peel fragments, seed material, texture and useful rework. Fine refining and an operator inspection belt do different jobs.
Dewatering: distinguish water removal from processing
For pieces, control free water and juice leakage. In puree or juice processing, refining or centrifugation changes the retained solids and is not simply a rinse-water removal step. Specify each output stream separately.
Packaging: match the feeder and final pack

Bertuzzi
A bulk processing-line filling reference, not a whole-fruit or fresh-cut packer. Product preservation and filling must be designed as one system; the image alone establishes no validated treatment or storage life.
Choose whole-fruit packs, fresh portions or bulk puree/juice before selecting the filler. Bertuzzi illustrates bag-in-drum or bag-in-box equipment downstream of processing; the preservation and filling system must be designed for the actual product.
Compare the actual retained product in a supplier trial
For guava, ask the maker to demonstrate the intended whole-fruit, prepared-piece or ingredient route. No unrelated generic film is substituted here. The equipment photographs and written source descriptions explain the roles without requiring video playback.
Prepare a guava equipment trial brief
- Bring representative input: variety, maturity, size, incoming condition and seasonal variation.
- Show accepted and rejected samples: retained skin, leaf, stem, head or cut form, useful rework and finished pack.
- Record useful output: trim/peel loss, damage, fines, missed defects, free water and rejected packs.
- Test interfaces: product supports, drops, screens, drainage, dose control, stops and restart.
- Confirm supplied configuration: safe access, guards, tooling, water circuits, utilities, cleaning and training.
Questions before choosing guava equipment
Can one machine perform all guava preparation stages?
No. Whole-fruit handling, peeling or seed/stone removal, cutting, refining and packing have different duties. Compare actual product trials and the supplied interfaces rather than treating a machine photograph as a complete line.
