Longan processing equipment

Choose the retained longan product before selecting washing, preparation, cutting and packing equipment.

Crop guide · Longan preprocessing

Start with the retained product

Compare the finished-product routes before combining machines. Attributed equipment photographs, output examples and English selection notes below explain the duties. Confirm the actual fruit, supplied tooling and accepted output with representative samples.

Compare washing, trimming or peeling, cutting, sorting, dewatering and packaging below. Attributed manufacturer images explain equipment roles. General family references require the actual crop configuration and a representative trial.

Choose the finished-product route

Whole fresh fruit

inspect and clean as specified, classify and support through packing.

Compare the feed and accepted output at every handoff.

Retained flesh

open the shell, separate the seed, inspect the accepted flesh and portion.

Compare the feed and accepted output at every handoff.

Juice or dried ingredients

prepare the specified feed, then follow a separately chosen extraction or dehydration route.

Compare the feed and accepted output at every handoff.

Agree pre-cleaning, trimming, cutting and final-wash order for the incoming material and intended use. These routes are specification aids, not universal process settings.

Washing: match cleaning to the destination

Bertuzzi

A wash and preparation arrangement linked from the shared processing page. Confirm actual crop, brush contact and transfers. The photograph does not establish a crop-specific cleaning programme or an intact-flesh preparation result.

Use actual longan to specify shell cleaning, brush contact, drainage and transfers. Bertuzzi lists longan together with lychee in a processing-line reference; the shared listing does not make every cultivar or feeding arrangement interchangeable. Define the handoff from exterior cleaning to any opened product and agree the required surface condition before selecting the wash section.

Trimming: define skin, stem and seed preparation

Hexu QH-C · Manufacturer equipment and application composite

Hexu QH-C

The supplier lists longan as an application; its source also discusses other small fruit. The composite is a product reference, not an independently reviewed longan run. Confirm shell preparation and pitting-only versus pitting-plus-cutting tools.

Shell opening and seed removal are separate preparation questions. Hexu explicitly lists longan for its QH-C small-fruit pitting family and describes interchangeable moulds and pitting tools. Confirm input shell condition, orientation, feeding and useful flesh recovery in a longan trial. Its page also discusses cherries, so cherry capacity and sample output must not be adopted as longan performance.

Cutting: choose pieces, reduction or extraction

Bertuzzi Chopper · Manufacturer equipment photograph

Bertuzzi Chopper

Reduction equipment for the ingredient route. Feed preparation and accepted material must be agreed. This is not a peeler or a machine intended to retain intact flesh portions.

Bertuzzi

A juice-extraction interface following prepared processing material. Pressing changes the retained product and is separate from surface-water drainage of fresh flesh.

Choose whole retained flesh, deliberately halved flesh or juice before choosing tooling. Hexu describes pitting-only and pitting-plus-cutting options; verify the exact longan set and accepted shape rather than assuming a standard arrangement preserves every aril. The illustrated Bertuzzi chopper and press belong to a reduction/juice route. They are not intact-flesh peelers.

Sorting: inspect the retained product

Bertuzzi

An operator station illustrates inspection and reject handling. Identify the retained stream before selecting the station; this is not automatic seed-fragment detection or an independently accepted crop trial.

Define whole-fruit classes separately from residual shell, seed fragments, damaged prepared flesh and useful rework. Inspect each retained stream at the appropriate handoff. A small-fruit pitter does not establish an automatic internal-quality or foreign-material detector, and a shared lychee/longan line photo is not a crop-specific acceptance result.

Dewatering: separate surface water from processing

Remove free exterior water as specified before shell handling and record juice separately from process-water carryover around exposed flesh. Juice extraction and evaporation alter the retained stream. Drying whole fruit or prepared flesh is a different route and requires a separately specified dehydration system; no drying cycle is adopted here.

Packaging: match support, portioning and closure

Bertuzzi

A bulk processing-line filling reference, not a whole-fruit or fresh-cut packer. Product preservation and filling must be designed as one system; the image alone establishes no validated treatment or storage life.

Whole-shell fruit, prepared flesh and dried or liquid ingredients have different support, portioning and closure requirements. Test the actual retained form, sticking and product pooling at transfers. Establish whether final packing is included in the quoted system. A bulk ingredient filler does not demonstrate the packaging or preservation of intact fresh longan flesh.

Compare the actual retained product in a supplier trial

For longan, ask the maker to demonstrate the intended whole-fruit, prepared-piece or ingredient route. No unrelated generic film is substituted here. The equipment photographs and written source descriptions explain the roles without requiring video playback.

Prepare a longan equipment trial brief

  1. Bring representative input: variety, maturity, size, incoming condition and seasonal variation.
  2. Show accepted and rejected samples: retained skin, leaf, stem, head or cut form, useful rework and finished pack.
  3. Record useful output: trim/peel loss, damage, fines, missed defects, free water and rejected packs.
  4. Test interfaces: product supports, drops, screens, drainage, dose control, stops and restart.
  5. Confirm supplied configuration: safe access, guards, tooling, water circuits, utilities, cleaning and training.

Questions before choosing longan equipment

What shell preparation is required before the longan pitter?

Include this point in the supplier trial and quotation. Show actual accepted and rejected samples, and record the supplied configuration and retained output.

Is the tool intended for pitting only or pitting plus cutting?

Include this point in the supplier trial and quotation. Preparation, retained product and downstream interfaces must be agreed separately from the equipment photograph.

Does the stated demonstration use longan or a different small fruit?

Include this point in the supplier trial and quotation. Preparation, retained product and downstream interfaces must be agreed separately from the equipment photograph.
