Crop guide · Rambutan preprocessing
Start with the retained product
Compare whole fruit, prepared edible portions and processed ingredients before combining machines. Attributed equipment and process images below explain the different duties; actual fruit, tooling and accepted output remain part of the supply specification.
Compare washing, trimming or peeling, cutting, sorting, dewatering and packaging below. Attributed manufacturer images explain equipment roles. General family references require the actual crop configuration and a representative trial.
Choose the finished-product route
Whole fresh fruit
inspect, clean as specified, classify and pack without peeling.
Compare actual input and accepted output before choosing the line.
Prepared flesh
open the exterior, separate flesh and retain or remove the seed as ordered.
Compare actual input and accepted output before choosing the line.
Processed ingredients
prepare accepted flesh before separately specified reduction, preservation and filling.
Compare actual input and accepted output before choosing the line.
Agree pre-cleaning, trimming, cutting and final-wash order for the incoming material and intended use. These routes are specification aids, not universal process settings.
Washing: match cleaning to the destination
Define debris and the desired condition of the outer hair-like structures before choosing wet or dry handling. Check entanglement, rubbing and discharge with representative fruit. No universal washing programme is inferred from a general fruit grader.
Trimming: separate peel, seed and shell decisions
Whole packs retain the exterior. Opening, peeling and seed removal are additional preparation duties for flesh ingredients. No independently verified machine-specific peeling application is established by the sources used here. Specify manual preparation or request a confirmed rambutan trial.
Cutting: choose pieces, reduction or extraction
State whether the accepted product is intact flesh with a seed, deseeded flesh or further-reduced material. A mechanical size grader is not an opening or pitting machine. Define manual preparation and any required automation with actual samples.
Sorting: inspect the retained product

FstSort
An actual equipment photograph associated with a historical mangosteen line. Weight classes and transfers require crop-specific trials; this is not a rambutan production run or internal-quality detector.

FstSort
The 2022 supplier article proposes this adjustable grading family for rambutan. The illustration explains the proposed equipment form; it does not prove a commissioned rambutan installation, tested damage rate or peeling capability.
FstSort proposes an adjustable grader for rambutan in a manufacturer application discussion. That is not an independently established rambutan acceptance trial. Check whether the proposed grading method classifies the desired attribute without catching or compressing the exterior.
Dewatering: distinguish water removal from processing
Compare free-water removal and transfer support for intact fruit. Prepared flesh needs separate drainage and juice-loss checks. Avoid assuming that a blower or leafy-product centrifuge is suitable without a relevant trial.
Packaging: match the feeder and final pack
Whole fruit and exposed-flesh portions need different feeders and pack support. Compare sticking, compression and seal contamination with the chosen product. Confirm the final closure equipment separately from grade collection.
Compare the actual retained product in a supplier trial
For rambutan, ask the maker to demonstrate the intended whole-fruit, prepared-piece or ingredient route. No unrelated generic film is substituted here. The equipment photographs and written source descriptions explain the roles without requiring video playback.
Prepare a rambutan equipment trial brief
- Bring representative input: variety, maturity, size, incoming condition and seasonal variation.
- Show accepted and rejected samples: retained skin, leaf, stem, head or cut form, useful rework and finished pack.
- Record useful output: trim/peel loss, damage, fines, missed defects, free water and rejected packs.
- Test interfaces: product supports, drops, screens, drainage, dose control, stops and restart.
- Confirm supplied configuration: safe access, guards, tooling, water circuits, utilities, cleaning and training.
Questions before choosing rambutan equipment
Can one machine perform all rambutan preparation stages?
Compare the required input and retained output at each interface. Whole-fruit handling, opening, peeling or seed removal, cutting, refining and packing are separate duties. A machine photograph is not evidence of a complete processing line.

Equipment photographs and output references are identified beside each image. Historical installation photographs are labelled. Footage and machine images belong to the named sources and are not Food Machinery IQ installations or independent acceptance tests. Source addresses are plain text.
